She also chooses the shittiest weapons, and constantly wants to dual wield. Twin flippy ninja swords, twin flails (no seriously they weren't even nunchaku, they were just a pair of morning stars), twin tiger hook swords. Flair over function.
Meanwhile, the people who beat her used a greatsword, what should be a katana but clearly as not, a guandao, a shield and a fucking torch.
I was expecting super powers from this show. Like Heroes but if it were good or original
instead I got, everybody was kung fu fighting, some shitty romances, and a plot where literally all the characters are just blatant liars not even good liars.
How to fix
-Give the Baron less fucking screen time. He's better when he's just being in charge and going crazy behind the scenes not when he's in every fucking scene.
-Jackie chan actually attempts to challenge the baron instead of just fleeing
-No fucking Dragonball evolution
-Centralize the fucking knowledge base (It's like a fucking MMO fetch quests on the TV with the cast just trying to learn shit)

I'm sick and fucking tired of dumbfucks spinning around in circles with swords like roided-out tards and just mowing down hordes of bad dudes while taking no damage or expending any effort at all.
Its fucking annoying, its not just this piece of shit, its literally any movie/show with swords or melee fighting is just spinning around + slashing people + inhuman reaction times and maneuvers + terrible half-a-second film cuts. It's all suppose to be "cool" or "flashy" but really it shows that the fucking script is "main character kills 3 doods with sword, end scene".
Its just so incredibility fake. There's no tension, no build up, no element of coolness too it. You know from the second the episode starts that the good guy is going to win, effortlessly, and with dozens of dead bad doods at his feet with just a couple of wrist flicks and some minorly tarnished plot armor.

Agreed wholeheartedly, though this show is less a symptom as it is a recapturing of the cause (wuxia movies). Quinn's the best fighter they've got, precisely because 1) he looks like hes actually trying really hard to both not die and kill the other guy, and 2) because he doesn't do any flippy ninja bullshit.
Think of it this way - if Sonny were to swing at someone not fighting back, they'd shake around and blood packets would burst and they'd fall. If Quinn were to do the same, that guy would fall in two pieces because this motherfucker does not play, he's bigger than you, his sword is bigger than yours and he's been doing this (this = killing) a lot longer than you.
Interestingly enough, he also has the only western-looking weapon I've noticed so far.
