If you could only watch movies made from one specific year, which year would you choose?
Any answer that isn't:
1975
1994
1999
2007
is wrong.
1995.
>>63569059
1976 or 1957.
2001
>>63569076
>1994
Shawshank isn't enough to carry the entire year.
>2007
You're a lunatic.

The highest grossing were shit (except for world's end) but the awards movies were top fucking notch. michael clayton, there will be blood, atonement, the lives of others, no country for old men, I'm not there, american gangster, ratatouille, reign over me... It truly was a great year for movies. The last truly great year we've had... or will have again, it seems.
1962
or
2004

I wouldn't watch any of those movies more than once. If I could only ever watch movies from a certain year I wouldn't pick a bunch of award bait, I'd pick movies that are endlessly entertaining.
>1999
Just for Ravenous alone.

yeah 2007 was a pretty good year. Good Mix of populist and awardsy movies, too. Well-balanced diet of a year

If you can't find at least two movies you'd watch more than once, you have no soul.
either 1995 or 1982

There's a lot of good entertainment there, for sure. Sticking with '99, though.
