I fucking knew it. They're going to rob Magneto of his glory and give it to Jlaw. Instead of Magneto leading the team when Xavier gets killed or injured they will have her do it. Instead of Magento tearing apart apocalypse in a 1v1 they will have it be a team effort lead by mystique.

I don't think it was a bad decision. Her costume for the movie could be way better though. What happened to the sex appeal in X-men? The female characters were all gorgeous and all the guy mutants looked like they could be models. They all looked like the pinnacle of what people wanted to be but they were still cast out of society because of prejudice. That's an entire layer of the series that's missing because god forbid we should sexualize anybody in the media. But it loses meaning because instead of being a perspective on prejudice in culture and society it merely becomes a reflection of our current values. No No. Mystique doesn't have to be a nude vixen that draws out an instinctual urge to fuck but you always stop to consider the color of her skin. No. That's not enough depth. She would have much more character if every white girl who loves the Hunger Games can self-insert into her character like they are experiencing the movie themselves! Who needs real characters?
