I have been disappointed so far. Plus they put it up against Gotham. And I really like Gotham so I have to watch SG a day or so later on the website.
The show puts feminist so front and center that I think it takes away from the show. Obviously Supergirl can't be exactly like Arrow or Flash. But it is so off the rails in terms of being a superhero show.
And I have no problem with shows trying to be more diverse with the casting. But this show is ridiculous. I *hate* when movies/shows replace a white character with a black one. The effects don't bother as much as other folks. My biggest issue is when they are hovering (there was a fight SG had with her aunt in one of the earlier episodes that looked bad IMO). But then again I don't mind the effects on The Flash. So maybe I'm not the right person to judge the look of special effects.
I do remember watching a couple of videos by an asian guy a couple of years ago. One of the videos was really cool...they were having a gun fight. But the guns were shooting seeds??? When the bullets landed they turned into flowers. It was the weirdest thing I had seen in a while. I'll have to check out the Ragga guy.
