Yeah. The guy was never supposed to snap the ball, but the guy under center normally doesn't run the play, as the previous guy who normally runs that play got hurt earlier in the game. Still, why the fuck would they run it in the first place? Meme plays are nothing but trouble.

They wanted to get too many men on the field and then if that didn't work they would try and get encroachment and if neither worked they'd just take the 5 yard delay of game. Ideally they wouldn't have gotten the illegal formation because the linemen on the right weren't the line like they should have been. However, it was still a dumb as fuck "play" that there was no reason for it to even exist and the coach is batshit insane for attempting that blunder
