What's your favorite movie anon?
The Raid 2: Berendal
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
The Lord of the Rings trilogy as a unit. I can't figure out which one is my favourite and when I watch them I generally like to watch all of them.
At this point I'm convinced no better movies will ever be made.
Mines haggard featuring the earthrocker
I like Chinatown, Jack Nicholson is cool and fights incest and pedophelia

A qt3.14 asks and I'll throw out some sappy shit, Midnight in Paris, Eternal Sunshine, etc. Whatever I'm feeling at the moment.
Literally anyone else asks and I'll say Amores Perros.
Wish more qt3.14s would ask :(

I can absolutely defend why I like that film, It took two watches of it though. The subtlety of the acting is one of the major reasons.

I don't use the terms pleb and Patricians but good taste detected, favorite Shane Black movie, fav Kilmer movie, Michelle Monaghan and her tits were glorious, and favorite performance by RDJ, didn't like the very very very end tho
>>63462130
In my intro to film I finally got asked this by a lecturer who got it, who said
"I know it's impossible to narrow it down to one movie so what are 1 or 2 of your favorite films"
The Thin Red Line and In Bruges was and still is my answer, The Thin Red Line is near perfect war film, way way way better than Saving Private Ryan (In my opinion I guess I should say because I'm in the minority)
side note, is John C Reily bad in anything, dudes got made range, can't believe he is so good in this then he's Steve Burel
>>63462563
It was GOAT there are 7 movies ive given 10/10 to I gave it 9.5 but felt like rounding down to 9 rather than up to 10 but it is a damn fine answer, was my gateway drug to neo noir and noir which is probably my favourite film sub-genre / movement
>>63462650
Honestly I know many people who love it, never met someone who has it as there no 1 of all time but a damn fine choice
nothin' personnel
If I had to pick ABSOLUTELY only one..
No Country For Old Men
>>63462731
Yeah I am keen as fuck, The Goose is finally, yet again loose.
>>63464799
6/9 are GOAT so, good taste detected my friend nother 3 are damn fine
>>63464799
I got a lot of anxiety from that Apocalypto dream sequence
Easy.
The Godfather.
>>63464826
Is pretty great, I know people sometimes mock it on this board but i give in 96/100 placing it in my top 12. would be full marks if at the end instead of saying "and then I woke up" he said "I guess what I'm trying to say is this is no country for old men". But seriously in my film class this is the most common answer so damn hard to bad mouth it.
>>63465181
Really, Godfather PT II and particularly goodfellas are better IMO, not to say you are wrong or your taste is bad by any means, but i respectfully disagree
I Heart Huckabees
>>63464799
top left, Her ?
Casino.
I can't really pinpoint one as a single favourite, but I'd say the best ever is Taxi Driver
Forever and ever.
>>63464794
it's a flawed movie but somehow still kind of a masterpiece, and im not quite sure how anything is going to take #1 on my list/in the future
the best movies ive seen if im trying to be objective i think would be zerkalo, mulholland drive, amadeus, ikiru, early summer, city of god, 2001, gattaca, cinderella man and shawshank
You should be warned, I do not normally engage with the proletariat.
>>63466811
Yeah you don't need to defend yourself I agree it's a damn near masterpiece I mean show it to a kid (well like a 14-16 year old who watch some movies) thats what happened to me, i couldn't believe it was made in 1982, it looks so damn good and one of the few times i recommend the Directors cut with Scott confirming Deckards replicant status.
Also goddamn, with how good the last one looked and Deakins lensing the new one with Villeneuve helming I actually for once have high hopes for a sequel to a 30 year old film.
>>63462130
Memories of Murder
>>63468946
Again don't use Pleb and Patricians because i honestly think the people who use those are douche bags, but I can't argue with your taste my man that's a fine picture.
