I don't think you understand what jumping the shark means.
I agree about the show lacking soul though, particularly with Babycakes. He was somewhat intellectual and philosophical in the web series but completely dumbed-down comic relief in the TV series.
Overall though I really liked China, IL and wish it never got cancelled. And at least the musical episode was great sendoff.
