Ive read a few varying sources claiming that it's playing only on christmas day while others say its up to two weeks after. Can anyone confirm?

I've never met anyone who does. I think the idea is that most people have already done presents/dinner/socializing by the afternoon of the 25th and then either don't have anything to do it want to escape from their relatives for a few hours.
