I was disappointed with season 5 and I'm not sure 6 is going to be any better. There has to be a balance between genuinely decent plot and in-jokes. I get that their show is expensive so they only write for characters they voice to keep costs down, but that doesn't mean I have to like their solution.
Season 2 is my favorite. It had established characters and interaction, but with some neat episodes like Victor. Echo. November, and my favorite, Escape to the House of Mummies Part II.

back during the original adult swim block I always pitched it to people as the whole block as an experience. not just individual shows. everything down to the segways of old people swimming in and out of commercials and based music. I really want them to bring back retro adult swim like once a year for a week-month. or forever. with all the old programming.
