This guy and the Wire dude were the scariest cunts in the entire show.

one of my favorite things about this show is the morality of how it's wrong to kill people but it's okay to arrange for people to be killed by higher-ranking criminals in their organization

on a serious note the last season went downhill pretty fast it almost pulled a dexter

>on a serious note the last season went downhill pretty fast it almost pulled a dexter

It was pretty bad

The season with the evil psychologist was also kind of shit, that guy was garbage
>>
>>63423038
It started really going down hill when they added Poochie...er..Jesse.

If they really wanted to freshen things up, they should have added a new female operator to give Fi a run for her money.
>>
>>63423134

Daniel jackson should have lived and Jesse should have died, that and 2 seasons less, once Michael actually for really real found the guy that burned him and put him in the ground should've just ended the show, nope, suddenly it's fucking A-Team instead of just slight A-team macgyver shenanigans
>>
>>63423134
They kind of did near the end.
>>
Jesse wasn't bad he just... wasn't good, either. He didn't really add anything the other guys didn't already have he was just like another pair of hands.

They shouldn't have added a guy if they couldn't come up with some really worthwhile skill he brought to the group or some particularly interesting character twist

He had a hook though. Mike got him burned and had to fix it. After that was resolved they could have dropped him, or given us more Barry to round out a proper A-Team.
>>

literally the worse
>>
>>63423737
>He had a hook though. Mike got him burned and had to fix it.

Yeah but that's just like, a fact about him, that's not an actual characterization.

Like Sam is kind of easygoing and sleazy, fiona is really passionate and high strung, and michael is a turboautist, and jesse is just, like, there.

I agree with the anon who said they should have kept Daniel Jackson, he was pretty good because he was crazy, crazy could have been a fun addition to the team
>>
>>63423809
At the start Jesse was basically the straight man, with a few quips

I agree though they kept him around too long without really doing anything with it once his first arc was over
>>
I like how michael's mom is super good at lying
>>
>>63424433
I honestly thought Sharon Gless was the best actor on the show.

She went all in emotionally without hamming it up.

The Cagney and Lacey reunion was GOAT.

Was just about to post something similar to this.

Sam, as much as I loved him, had two basic functions.

1. Jump start stalled story via convenient favor

2. Product placement

>it's a "mediocre USA show that never lives up to the potential the concept has because that one thing about USA shows I don't have the words to describe" episode
Every time
>>
>>63426409
Up to a point.

It's a decent "caper of the week" show with some funny bits, schlocky drama and lots of hot chicks in the B-Roll.
>>
>>63426409
Yes.
>>
>>63426409
It's a procedural, and it wears down over time. But it's got pretty good pacing over the course of the show, and it's easy to suspend disbelief for the fun.
I personally think it's worth it.
>>
>>63426409
first few seasons
>>
>>63426444
There is something just a little half-assed about USA shows, isn't there?

Like how all CW shows feel like teen dramas even if they're not.

The only USA show I can think if that really committed to its shit was Duckman.
>>
>>63423516
I liked him but him coming in was around the point where the show was kinda petering out on the overarching storyline.

Good chemistry with Sam though
>>
>>63426600
feels like USA would attempt to crossover characters more than the extremely rare occasion like they've done.

They have quips but they're not quite clever enough to actually be amusing.

They have "tough" characters but they're never quite hard enough to actually be menacing.

They have idiots but they're never actually incompetent enough to really fuck anything up.

It's a recurring theme in every USA show I've ever seen, I don't understand it. The CW comparison is appropriate. It's like they got the writers of the shows from the bottom of the bargain bin at the basic cable screenwriters store.

how does mr roboto fit into the formula.
>>
>>63427132
It's not a usa show, they just grabbed the rights after everyone else rejected it

They tried this with graceland first where it's a bit of a break from formula
>>
>>63427085
You just put into words what I haven't been able to for years now.
>>63427132
No clue, I didn't bother picking it up because the concept seemed kind of dumb and it was on USA.
>>

really? didn't hear that.

it really is great, and i don't usually like usa shows apart from burn notice and psych.
>>
>>63426529
>>63426409

On it being repetitive (which obviously it is), I think it works so well because of great banter and decent chemistry.

They tried to break it with DIG and Mr Robot.
