But the "character stuff" is the main reason I'm angry with the episode. The hybrid thing only comes second.
The Doctor found a new point to his life in finding Gallifrey in The Day of the Doctor. He was devastated when he didn't find it in Death in Heaven.
In Hell Bent, he finds Gallifrey but doesn't give a fuck about it, the fact that this is apparently the moment he had been headed towards since he started travelling is ignored.
In Face the Raven, Clara died because of her recklessness, and her wish to be like the Doctor.
In Hell Bent, not only she was brought back and she didn't overcome the flaws that had caused her "death", that same wish to be like the Doctor was rewarded with a TARDIS and a companion.
It was inconsistent with the way these character arcs had been evolving until a few episodes ago.

The Doctor is far older than 2000 years old. He claimed to be older in the classic series, then he started counting over again in the TV movie. Then the Time War happened and that lasted way longer than 900 years, long enough for John Hurt's young body to become old. Which, judging by Name of the Doctor, takes about 900 years if you're out of regen energy. With regen energy it probably took him much longer than that.
So no, the doctor isn't 2000 and he hasn't been 2000 for a very long time.

Heaven Sent was boring but the concept was fun (It could have carried 30 minutes or so of episode, but stretched out to 55 it was too long. I get that they wanted that slow pacing and all to make a point, but still.)

I don't like Me, though Maisie is acting better/being given better lines than she was in the first two episodes with her.
