What did /tv/ think of this? Personally liked its visuals, though story wise it seemed kinda shallow.

There were some decent images, but it came off as shallow and unfocused. I wouldn't say it was absolutely terrible though.

gosling shows potential in that he has a decent eye for shot composition, but the film is pitifully shallow and what's worse, pretends to not be.
i went in with good expectiations too.
here's hoping gosling's next movie is better, i like him as an actor and want to like him as a director. maybe let someone else do the screenplay?

It was good. Plot was straightforward, ben Mendelssohn was great as always, Saoirse's song at the credits was good. Soundtrack in general was good. Visuals were great. Sad look at my muscles scene isn't included but my fucking copper was funny. Honestly it's a good movie, only plebs veil it as a meme because of refn and gosling.
