Cranston did Godzilla and Trumbo (which weren't super great but he was good in them) in the two years since BB ended, and he has several movies coming out next year.
Also it might just be that Cranston had his film career at the same time as BB. He was in a bunch of stuff during when the show was on, and it might be that he's just past the prime of his career now. At least he's not a one hit wonder like Aaron Paul, and doesn't need Paul like Paul needs Cranston.
