I'm not sure if I agree with you on West - Dr. Zoidberg, Brannigan are very different to his read voice.
But Mel Blanc, it's a shame we only know him for his looney tunes stuff because apparently he killed it on the Jack Benny show.
Anyway range of voices counts for nothing: Archer and Bob Belcher are pretty much the same voice, but because of the writing and the slight inflectional changes they are totally different 'charachters'

Voice acting is dying for the most part because animated movies just cast regular actors for the most part now and cartoons are just the creators and their friends.

This really pisses me off. In every animated movie now, the characters just sound like the actors. It's lazy as hell, and knowing there are people out there who specialize in voice acting and are good at it and aren't getting those roles bugs me.
