The real problem with ALL of these capeshit movies is that they aren't standalone movies. It's just a bunch of money-hungry retards thinking about the future rather than what they're actually making, so every movie has to be "universe-building" and lend space to a bunch of sequels otherwise they can't keep going. That's why it's completely useless for them to ever base anything on certain comic book stories, because by the time they finish adapting it to make it good for sequels they destroyed the whole thing.
I mean, really, Doomsday? They should've just taken The Dark Knight Returns and made a simpler version of the story. Superman as a kind of government/public figure bitch vs. Batman's ruthless vigilantism. There you go, a story about God vs. man, justice vs. vigilantism that's perfect to rival the Civil War movie Marvel is making.
