Holy shit this film is fucking awful
Of course it's awful, it's capeshit.
>>63293079
>I see people praising it and Keaton in other threads and it's getting me butthurt, I'll make a thread about how bad it is, that will show them
>>63293079
fuck off, retarded little reddit millennial
>>63293079
Is that coffee they're drinking? I don't remember that in the film.
>>63293079
For you.
>>63293236
If I pull that off, will she die?
It really is. Batman Returns, on the other hand, is amazing.
Keaton is still boring, though.
>>63293181
Burton has always been reddit. Capeshit has always been reddit. You are perpetually underage if you respect any capeshit meme media.
>wah! Batman is't suppose to kill people, even though he actually originally did in the original comic books before they pussified him!
I find it hilarious that while Tim Burton never read the comic books, it still has felt like than more than any other adaptation.
>>63293280
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves Batman Returns.
>>63293280
This. Returns shits on the first movie hard. Thanks for reminding me to watch it.
Ultimate Christmas time movie.
>>63293236
Tim Burton is Josh Groban!
>>63293284
>d-do I fit in yet guys?
Millenial detected. You know nothing, kid.
>>63293175
LOL@ Keaton in this, he is a thin manlet , not intimidating at all.
>>63293536
Zorro was protoreddit.
I dont think its awful but I think its a really bad portrayal of Batman and thats what I hate about it the most because of how definitive people see it for Batman.
Holy shit this film is fucking awful
>>63293175
>I unironically enjoy proto-capeshit
>>63293284
>>63293079
I agree. Loved it as a kid, but watched it recently and it truly is fucking gay shit.
Jack Nicholson is way creepier than anything Heath or Leto ever did.
>>63293827
This.
>>63294294
And BR isn't much better either. Although, it's stylish, there's no plot, characters, in particular Catwoman, are awful and Batman doesn't appear until about half and hour in.
First batman, superman and spiderman 2 is the only acceptable marvel & DC capeshit because they did it right
THAT'S IT
superman 2 was silly, Spiderman 1 was silly, returns was over crowded
And everything else is either shit or trying to do the cinematic universe that the overall message of the movie gets lost
>>63293827
>good simple story
>main character has an arc
>villain isn't just bad because born2Bevil
>great conclusion
fuck off
>>63294512
What about X-Men 1 and 2?
>>63293263
It will be extremely bonerific
>>63294512
Agreed, first Batman was best (pic related).
>>63293079
No shit anon
Any Batman film not made by Nolan is unwatchable crap made to sell action figures.
>>63294719
Nolan batman had more action figure than the first batman you faggot
>>63293280
>Keaton is still boring, though.
>>63293743
>I think its a really bad portrayal of Batman
The Batman character himself is just a bland generic wish-fulfillment archetype for audiences who idolize him for paradoxically being both the most realistic and most powerful(you just know he's going to kick Man of Murder's ass and make him bleed).
>>63294582
It's execution is fucking poor and the campy gayness of it all doesn't work.
>>63294747
Burton=Made action figure movie, that was also somewhat watchable to kids
Nolan=Made the most successful award winning Superhero films that defined a genre, also had merchandise made from it because it was that fucking amazing
Good try anon,
Why the fuck torture oneself watching this crap?
Do we not have enough disgusting Danny DeVito, criminally unfunny Jim Carey, and quipping Ah'Nuld in movies already? At least ones that one can watch without wishing suicide.
>>63294686
4you
Batman & Robin is by far the best and I'm not even shitposting
>>63294370
Burton isn't a very good director overall, really. Still like it better than the first, though.
>>63295334
Yeah, at least this one doesn't take itself seriously and you can laugh at it.
The rest is pure shit too, but tries too hard.
I caught Batman Returns on TV a couple of weeks ago and it was absolutely fucking horrendous.
>>63294849
>The Batman character himself is just a bland generic wish-fulfillment archetype for audiences
You just described every superhero ever. And a helluva lot of supervillains, too.
>>63295923
Yeah, but he has little to no personality; especially nowadays. On top of that, he absolutely sucks at his job, considering that he can't so much as contain one irreparable mass-murder, or execute him when containment is blatantly infeasible.
I gave up reading Batman by about the time Harvey Dent “recovered, got reconstructive surgery, relapsed, and rescarred his face” for the umpteenth time.
Quality of story aside, at least Superman has some resolution to his villains, and arguably a stronger mythology.
>>63293079
What was bad about it?
Batman 89 is my favorite Batman movie.
>>63297521
I like it too as well as Batman Returns, Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.
Burton and Nolan were the best thing to happen to the character imo.
>>63293713
wasnt she the girl from star track?
>>63297521
Batman 43 is my favorite Batman movie.
Sad to see people shitting on Burton's Batman films as campy and incompetent. I think Nolan's brand of gritty realism has warped younger viewers and narrowed their appreciation of film styles. Burton's Batman is about as camp as Verhoeven's Robocop - it's not; it's a satire/dark comedy mixed with action and adventure. Schumacher's films are camp. Nolan's films are incompetent.
>>63294370
Astounding non-criticisms, mate.
