They're both good, but Daredevil's entire cast isn't constantly fucking up and backstabbing each other to an aggravating degree. JJ seems like it was trying to inspire its viewers to have no friends and care about no one, since it would halve the time it takes to solve any and all problems.

Each series peaks at a certain point and then drops in quality afterwards and never really picks back up again.

Tennant's great but he has to job too hard and his characterization suffers. Jessica Jones has some interesting ideas it squanders to odd, clunky writing. Is way too myopic on just Kilgrave. Jessica a shit protag, i know, that's the point but still. Cage and Patsy were infinitely more interesting.

I worried about this, as writers are scared to bestow any flaws or complications in black characters and play it real safe with just "brave, noble, forthright, good guy," etc, but somehow it worked with him. He seemed like a good guy. In comics however he's often been a little too headstrong and brash, a humanizing flaw played to good effect, that I hope they incorporate in his solo series because "He's just a nice guy," may only go so far.

The only piece of MCU media where the villain isn't killed is Daredevil, Thor and The Avengers.
DareDevil by far. Not that JJ is bad, but action scenes in the latter were laughable, Jessica didn't act very smart most of the time because you can't help but think that lots of shit happened because Jessica refuses to do something that she eventually did.
Killgrave was a really good villain by the way, but Kingpin was pretty good too, so in this it's a tie to me.

Daredevil. I normally don't really care about capeshit, but if it's going to be grim and excessively violent, I'm in. Daredevil had great fight choreography and it felt more super-heroish to me. Here's a highly skilled individual who actively seeks out bad guys and pushes their shit in, often times breaking bones and pulverizing faces. Jessica Jones was a bored teenager who never uses her powers to the fullest who may as well be spending her whole day rolling her eyes in the mall food court lamenting "muh rape ptsd".

Kilgrave was interesting
JJ is an unlikable character. I watched all 13 episodes and I still don't care about her. I only watched it for where they would take Kilgrave. Unfortunately they didn't go very far with him either.
DD was much better even though I'm not a big fan of Fisk. The fight choreography was refreshing - something JJ also lacked. She has fucking superpowers and the fights were still boring.
I also think they overdid underplaying her superpowers. Yeah we get it she's not a super hero and her super powers are not the focus here, but damn, they teased the fuck out of her powers and it never went anywhere.
Finally it annoyed me that Luke's powers were unclear. His skin is unbreakable, but what about his internal organs? His bones?

Daredevil is similar to The Sopranos (great acting and amazing writing) whereas Jessica Jones is more like The Wire (realistic, gritty and speaks about current society). Both are great and in my top 5 of all time.
Jones. I'm watching DD now, on episode 5 and it's boring. The action scenes in DD are superior to the ones in JJ but the drama and the pace was better handled in JJ.
BUT in JJ, the pace went bad after Kilgrave escaped so maybe DD gets better with each episode.

Daredevil's the stronger show, because unlike most of JJ's cast, only Foggy trigger's the audience (and even then it's intentional). Despite starring a blind man, it also wasn't handicapped by a special olympic's worth of grrl power, lesbians, evil white men, and BBC.
Shitposting aside though, Jessica Jones just ran out of steam by the ending. Its entire final act was boring, predictable, and all the interesting narrative meat had already been chewed. The whole story ground to a halt - there was no tension left in the narrative because we knew Jessica was immune, and Killgrave wasn't there to be entertaining.
Even when the narrative slowed down in Daredevil, there was always Wesley, or Ben Urich, or Fisk, or even Karen or fucking Foggy to shift the pace of the story. The only bad spots in all of Daredevil is arguably his costume, and how the fight choreography decayed over the course of the series
I enjoyed JJ more. I know how stupid this sounds, but I find JJ more believable.
