This movie JUST finished screening. Critics will be tweeting about it soon.
Ones who saw it last night were ecstatic.
Get hype.
>3 hours of warm black dingus
I think I'll pass.
>>63271695
I can't wait.
Will post reactions as they come in.
was bear rape a rumor?
Can't wait for some people to bring up the "issue" of violence in movies.
I'll wait for my main man YIFY before I see it in 35 MeMe.
>>63272223
What a fucking fag.
>>63271695
Why are so many of you expecting this to be bad? Quentin may be overrated but has he ever made a truly bad movie?
dude violence lmao
>>63272106
>first half is pointless dialogue
>second half is pointless violence
You've done it again Uno!
>>63272269
On the contrary, he hasn't made a decent, evenly made flick since kill bill 1
>>63272335
Basterds is exactly that.
Django wasn't but it has a lot of rewatch value, especially when you go in understanding its pacing issues.
>>63272335
this is bate
>>63272269
Everyone is expecting Tarantino's (very real) lelold fetish to shine through in the "warm black johnson" white man rape dialogue and scene.
>>63272335
>dividing his best movie into 2 separate parts
>>63272223
Good lord. Like he knew any if those people personally. Fucking faggots always try to make everything about themselves.
>>63272361
>basterds is evenly made
lol no. It's some of the worst pacing ever seen in film
>>63272392
please explain
it's arguably better-paced than Pulp Fiction, that movie drags a lot in the last third
>people complaining about pace in tarantino movies
ok, i'm out of this gay ass contrarian site
>>63272408
Basterds drags on for 2 plus hours after the first 10 minutes, literally 90 percent of the dialogue in that movie is unnecessary and drags the movie on into an exercise of self-indulgence. It's a terrible film
>>63272455
>his movies are SUPPOSED to be poorly made, you just don't get it!
kek
>>63272473
>complaining that dialogue is unnecessary

>contrarian
there are literally hundreds of threads about capeshit on this board every month
/tv/ is as normie as it gets
>>63272473
full pleb
tarantino's dialogue isn't even that hard to follow
He should do a series for HBO or FX
>>63272553
>superhero movies for kids
>normal
lmao
I bet all these waifu and cunny threads are also normal for you
>>63272223
>They're now switching to a DCP print so we can see 2nd half in focus. Wonder what QT is going to do when he hears about this screening.
JUST
>>63272660
Wow. You honestly think you're special for liking capeshit don't you?
You actually unironically think superhero movies are outside the norm.
I bet you think they're for "nerds" like you huh?
>almost 2016
>still watching kuckatino movies
i guess edgy teenagers never grow up.
>>63272787
You're going to see it too, stop lying just to sound cool.
>>63272851
>>63272851
i haven't seen django, and i highly regret seeing basterds. in fact, i only saw basterds because it kept being shilled as a war movie.
there isn't a chance in hell that i'll watch this turd.
>>63272106
>blood and brains litter the entire rest of the movie
the "LOLSOVIOLENT LIKE IN DA CHINESE MOVIES GUISE XD" again? what a shame
I might go and see it, despite it looking like a parody of a Tarantino movie.
I'm getting real sick of movies of his set in the past though and I want something modern again.
WARM
>>63273140
>best film of the year
probably true considering the shitshow we've had this year
>>63273156
I think it's been an all right year. Not as good as last year or 2012 though.
>>63272618
He's talked about cutting Django into four parts, since the original cut was about 4 hours long.
I agree though. Would've loved to see the Inglourious Basterds world fleshed out a bit more, since it was conceived as a miniseries originally.
Keep in mind that positive reactions are much less likely to be stemmed by TWC than negative ones since the former obviously builds hype.
From what I've read, the actual reaction at screenings was polarized, which is in line with Tarantino's oeuvre.
>>63273167
>>63273156
Watch more than mainstream Hollywood. Every year has phenomenal movies.
>>63272888
Urmyhero
>>63273264
Yup, most people took issue with the typical run-of-the-mill Tarantino-isms (the 'n' word, excessive violence). In this case, it's being construed as misogyny since Daisy Domergue takes a lot of abuse. General message being: if you've enjoyed his other recent work, you'll probably still enjoy this one, and vice-versa.
>>63273283
I go to my arthouse cinema all the time. I haven't been able to see a lot of the festival films yet though, they usually only play around this time of year.
>>63272106
>blood and brains litter the entire rest of the movie
Sounds like every other Tarantino flick
>>63272185
>haha Tarantino is such a nerd like me XD only true film buffs love a shitty Sonny Chiba movie from the 70s XD
Uh oh, James Healey doesn't like it.

>>63272219
YIFY doesn't exist any more.
>>63272269
Kill Bill and Bastards are pretty shit. Jackie Brown is the only good movie he has made.

>>63272984
this
I thought Basterds was already the perfect tarantino western
I want to see something else now
fuck, make sci-fi even
>>63271695
seriously it's about time Sam got an oscar.
the movie has my goodwill for that reason alone.
It's a stretch to say Tarantino is complete dogshit, but he needs reeling in so much.
I'm guessing he was let completely off the leash for his last 3 or so films because they're bloated, complete messes of films. There's decent content in there but they need some serious time in the editing room.
Even when his films aren't completely bloated there's always some awkward or completely nonsensical dialogue and actions.
No way can I get excited for this.
>>63273657
considering I really liked death proof but was completely unimpressed by django with the exception of Christoph Waltz, this review has left me pretty up in the air on how I'm going to feel about this movie
>>63273956
He also lost his long-time editor, Sally Menkem after Basterds.
Looks like she was a big part of what was reigning him in when it came to putting together cohesive movies.
>>63272269
It's not bad if you are a self hating c-uck into gay IR
>>63274058
it's not self-hating if I'm not white
>>63274151
Still gay though.
Dude Sergio Leone references lmao
It's over. Quentin Fartantino is finished
>>63274215
yeah, the 90's are over
nobody can take surreal violence as absurdist humour when it's constantly in our faces IRL
>>63271695
>The 8th film

>Woman in charge of fun
>>63274058
Is this going to be the most degenerate movie of the year?
>>63272106
>183m
>92m of 'blood and brains'
>8 characters
>presumably 1 character must be alive to kill the others
>assuming the blood and brains is evenly distributed across the second half that's about one death every twelve minutes
So is it going to be a slasher where the characters get picked off one at a time or is it going to be one long mexican standoff?
>paying to watch a movie where the black main character tortures a guy by making him suck his dick
Alright so if a guy tries to kill you , you might well want to kill him painfully, but having a scene where you make this otherwise normal heterosexual character intentionally force a guy you intend to kill to suck your dick is blatantly fetishistic and down right jewish in its degeneracy.
>>63272269
I fucking HATE Jackie Brown, Kill Bill 1 + 2 and Death Proof and I think Basterds and Django were bad movies with some good scenes
Reservoir Dogs is good, I loved it when it came out but it's had its diminishing returns. Pulp Fiction is good too but far overrated
>>63274215
Best pr Tarrantino could hope for.
At least I have something to look forward to since any hope of BvS being good are now gone.
>>63276291
Why would you think it would be beyond tarantino to do something like this?
Just get over it, Kurt Russell is in it.
Anyone else think this will be a disappointment at the box office?
>>63274058
>We see what Maj. Warren describes in BIG WIDE 70MM SUPER CINEMASCOPE
Every time.
>>63273283
Let's hear some recs.
>>63274264
But violent crime rates are well below where they were in the 90s. Maybe kids these days are just sheltered dweebs.
