The show had gorgeous animation with a unique minimalist style, interesting characters with minimal dialog, and a compelling plot. It was well made and people are excited for a reason.

Yes thats one of the main reasons I loved Samurai Jack and still do. Caught an episode on late one night a few months back and it was great. The episode where three of the best bounty hunters in the land are tracking him.
never truly appreciated samurai jack when i was younger. i liked it superficially, but when i finally understood all the references and homages to samurai films it became one of my favorite cartoons.
