I watched the original trilogy first. Started with some random online stream of A New Hope but it was the blu ray version with all of the random CG scenes added in that clearly did not belong. Made sure to watch the despecialized versions of Empire and Jedi because of that
The movies are really good, super engaging and fun. I like how they focus most on the characters instead of the fact that it's scifi.
Then I watched the prequels and they were boring as fuck.plinkett does a good job of explaining on a technical level what about the movies made them so disinteresting to watch
I didn't care much about Force Awakens before besides respecting what a big deal it was, now I'm super hyped

Those people fell for "darker movie" meme, some of them listened reviews, including Plinkett's that actually said some good things about it. Some of them seem to enjoy those emotions from highgrounded Anakin, Order 66 scene and overall increase of quality from ep. II nd I agree with them, but they seem to forget rest of the movie was mostly the same boring shit with some even more hilarious moments than sandhating in AotC.
Ep. VI's main fault were Ewoks, but it's still not that bad, since that battle is at least fun unlike Wookie CGIfest. Also everything else was great, especially everything about Hutts and final confrontation that were GOAT moments. Fuck, that one fight between Luke and Vader has more emotion into it than all prequels combined with animated series.
If not for Ewoks, I'd say it would be even better than ep. V.
