Oh what a shame, they kill off the character with no plot importance other than to be eye candy and the focal point of a shitty love triangle subplot that should never have existed in the first place.
At this point it's too little too late for the reboot series; they should have made it more unique in the first place. After two movies of boring retread of old material and endless references to the original series you'd have to be retarded to care anymore.
