Why would you ever need a ship that big? It makes no sense. Look at the size difference between that and a standard Star Destroyer.

It's the most practical starfighter design

Those imperials knew what they were doing.
Always been fond of Star Destoyers. Everything from the design to the power one must feel while in command of a ship like that
