As several people have already stated or alluded to, in the comic there is roughly the same scene that is beginning at the end of the episode. As in the panels posted earlier, just the one son and the mom getting eaten with Rick cutting off the mom's hand. As one anon already said, they're making a show of Rick's axe in the last episode, where they normally have not, so it's probably gonna go down. Also the comic town mayor (bald guy - Douglas Monroe) comes out of his house and fires wildly into the crowd of zombies, hitting KORL in the eye.
Since the mayor lady in the show is doing similar, but in the house, but the show creators might still want to use similar material as in the comic, I have this theory about next episode:

The Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z actually make infection style zombies much more believable. I'd say they're comparable to Jurassic Park with the DNA from mosquitoes in amber thing; it's not actually plausible but it sounds believable enough to easily suspend your disbelief and you don't constantly notice things that make you go "hold on a minute, that doesn't make any fucking sense". World War Z is an amazing read.

Ackchully, what with the finds of tissue embedded deep in some rare fossils, it's possible to start sequencing the DNA of dinosaurs. They're only fragments, but the more that are found the more complete the picture will be.
The only plausible way so far of re-creating a species is finding a close analogue (as in the proposed elephant -> mammut resurrection). That is almost a reality already. But it'll be a problem with dinosaurs since there aren't any close relatives.
That's where Jurassic Park hits it kinda close still; in that we'd be able to use a modern analogue like a bird or lizard to make essentially a hybrid from the DNA.

And even if it's possible we're talking about the rarest sliver of tissue in already super rare fossils.
In fact even if you found multiple samples from the same kind of dinosaur it's likely they would be millions of years apart with all that implies of genetic drift.
