On average they release better movies with better extras, V/A and packaging than most other video distribution companies. They often do their own scanning/restoration, while other companies just release what a studio gives them.

Aside from To The Wonder these are my first Blu-rays. I don't plan on collecting, but I consider a lot of these directors essential, and I tried choosing based on my favorite directors and how acclaimed the supplements were for the Criterion release. Haven't even seen My Darling Clementine, but I like John Ford, and it was rated 10/10 in terms of supplements. Now I must find something from Murnau on blu-ray.

Interesting, I really liked the jazzy style of Shadows so Faces seems like the same type of thing. But dark showbiz movies like Sunset BLVD are some of my favorite types of films
