Now that the dust has settled can we all agree that Casino Royale was the best Craig movie and that Solace wasn't that bad?
Was anyone debating that Casino is the best of Craig's Bond films? I'll have them shot.

a lot of people are warming up to QoS after all these years. I watched it again recently and it wasn't bad.
I think it actually turns out to be a lot better if you combine Casino Royale with Quantum of Solace and watch it as one movie. It makes sense since QoS is wrapping things up from Casino.

Isn't Quantum of Solace the one where the bond villain's plan was actually less extravagant than a real life plot to raise the price on water?
Like I think the guy in real life that did the same kind of shit wanted to raise prices of water by four times the amount instead of just doubling it.
I think the problem with QoS is that the plot's a little incoherent, you need to watch it again to fully get what's going on and who's doing what, at which point it becomes a perfectly adequate film, but because it seems so bad the first time most people don't want to watch it a second. It doesn't give itself a chance.

I thought it was forgettable, muddled garbage the first time around.
Watched it last month on TV, only a week after seeing Casino Royale again, which helped, and certainly enjoyed it more than I originally did.
It's still a fairly unmemorable low to mid-tier Bond movie though.

Quantam seems worse because it was the follow up to the best Bond film that in all honesty had very low expectations for most people going in.

Solace still isn't that good of a movie, but it isn't awful by a long shot. It's just sort of there. You wouldn't be inclined to watch it again, but I didn't feel insulted by having done so.
