Berberian Sound Studio is a great homage of sorts to old giallo films.

Same people who made Amer made The Strange Color of Your Body's Tears. Argento Fulci, and Bava are the big three. Fulci's most popular, but fans are contrarian plebs, and Argento is a master :^) The rest of their movies are definitely worth seeing, but are more supernatural than pure giallo thrillers.
