All I ever wanted was a dark comedy with a satisfying conclusion.
instead it turned into a mystery novel, where everything is ambiguous and very little is funny.

This is another one of those shows where I'm scratching my head at why there needed to be an American adaptation. The aussie version was unique, but not great, and then they get some smug hollywood actor to be the lead who's supposed to be a piece of shit. It's very similar to the Australian one, dog is the same guy who writes it for both versions.
