I was watching a cooking show a while back. The host was making 'his version of a classic': Sausages, eggs and bacon.
He used chorizo instead of normal sausages, quail's eggs instead of normal eggs and pancetta instead of normal bacon.
I fucking hate it when chefs think they can improve a dish just by substituting fancier ingredients. All I wanted to see was how to fry an egg evenly without overcooking it.
