Best scene is the ending of Godfather 2 where Micheal talks about how he joined the military. A lot of stuff happens in that scene that a ton of non-italians won't get and throughout the movie also. It's really one of those movies where you have to be Italian to understand a lot of the intricate details. Me and the family watch it every year before Christmas.

Pretty much this. It's good, but it's nowhere near 1, one of the greatest American films. It's what didnt make it from the book about his childhood, with Michael's plot being an exact rehash of the first. He gets colder and shuts Kay out. Again.
It's comfy and well made, the Fredo stuff is classic, better than most films but it's still somewhat pointless and a sequel cash grab compared to the first, narratively and creatively.
