By his own admission, no. He seems to specialize in playing creeps.

>>63096930

They're all still free on the website.

Just got around to listening to last week's mini episode. Paul thinking Life Force is related to Lifeforce kind of made me want to punch him.
>>
>>63097072
We Hate Movies is the comfiest podcast out there. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes HDTGM. It's way more laid back, there's no shouting over each other, the hosts have good chemistry and are smart enough to actually follow the movies plot. HDTGM is good but they seem to assume you've alrady seen the movie before the episode making things impossible to follow whilst We Hate Movies just linearly goes through it, much better
>>
>>63097231
>and are smart enough to actually follow the movies plot.
Downloading now. As funny as HDTGM can be at its best (usually when June has a mad theory,) I'm getting really tired of the current trend of people just watching stuff and going "What?! What the fuck is going on? Amirite?!"

Rewatching MST3k has been refreshing, I know it's prewritten but still.

WHM crew reporting in

>Blame It On Rio
>Life With Louie
>Super Mario Bros. Movie

are my top 3
>>
>>63097903
Blame it on Rio is one of my faves as well. The slow reveal of how sleazy the movie really is and the seething disgust they have for Michael Caine in that movie is incredible, you can tell they 100% fucking hate that characters guts
>>
>>63095882
Sometimes I feel like Jason is too mean and condesending to her, but to be fair most of her "theories" have no basis in reality whatsoever. The best example I can think of was the time on the Judge Dredd episode where she tried to make a case for the idea that Rob Schneider was controlling a robotic trash can by putting speghettii in his mouth? It's such a nonsense way to look at that scene that I swear I thought it had to be a bit and she was just kidding around.

But then you listen to episode after episode and she keeps coming up with these crazy theories a lot of which have no humorous side to them at all, and you begin to realize "oh, understand now- you're crazy." So while I think Jason can be a little harsh at times I'm beginning to think it's warranted because June is just straight up on another planet with her takeaways about how she thinks movies work.
>>
>>63098031
They really honestly hate that movie which made it funny. The only other time that happened was Easy Rider II.
>>
>>63096563
Dennis Feinstein.

BONKERS
>>
>>63098434
He goes for a full 3 mins in Hackers. June is a moronic Luddite, and she's great.
>>
I fell like they're just playing characters at this point, there's no way June actually thinks the things she says.
>>
>>63097231
I know it's said explicitly in the title, but I had to dro WHM a couple years back because it was just too mean. I get it, they HATE movies, but what I'm looking for is people making jokes about comically bad movies, not people who just sound so jaded and spiteful that you wonder why they're even doing this if they detest it so much.

It might be an East Coast/West Coast thing, but I don't think so because I really love The Flop House and they're out of NYC too. The WHM guys just don't strike me as funny, they just sound bitter.
>>
>>63096998
>Improv4Humans (would be great if Mat could go an episode without bringing up his hate for Republicans or people he fights with on Twitter)

Or go an episode without some douchebag playing tedious acoustic guitar

that episode with Nick Kroll was really funny, the U 2 are Talking U2 to Me? is good too

>>

>>
>>63099399

>>
>>63099145
With Special Guest has good episodes but a lot of them are unlistenable.

Honestly it's a shit premise, despite Lauren being a solid improviser
>>
>>63098092
>It's such a nonsense way to look at that scene that I swear I thought it had to be a bit and she was just kidding around.

I always thought she was kidding most of the time, pretty much until literally this thread.
>>

I think I quit around 80.

It's like trying to watch Top Gear. It's just so scripted and non-genuine, it's not entertaining anymore.

>It's just so scripted

>>
>>63098529
I've heard almost every episode. I listened to 46 if 52 episodes in like 2 weeks at work and havent listened to the rest in a few weeks. It's pretty good, I've never seen grown ups 2, but it was all I wanted to talk about every time I saw people. Bit of warning, I had so many conversations with people about Grown ups 2, and you will to. And I started to think in a Kiwi accent. Its not amazing, but I would recommend it for the bromance. The first episode one tells the other the main reason he wants to do it is to grow closer to his not-very-close friend, and it starts off slow and then they bond hard. They come up with great theories and bounce ideas off each other well. I think you get the point, any other questions feel free to ask. And as always, remember to live every moment, and love every day. Cus before you know it, your precious life slips away.
>>
>>63099189
last episode the musician wasn't that bad, I just hate how so much time is devoted to not only the song, but analyzing the song as well, which is always about the same three things: an ex girlfriend, the town they grew up in, or their parents.

and yeah that dan deacon episode was fucking trash
>>
>>63097004
I mean, the thing about Paul is that, even though he's ugly, he's actually likable as all hell. So I don't think most anons should take too much hope from him.
>>
>>63100225
June is also legitimately a fucking weirdo, so it's not like ugly guy just landed himself the perfect woman or anything
>>
>>63098092
I think she's used to it, its a rare habit some people carry over from childhood and never quite get rid of, where they verbalize abstract thoughts and brainfarts most would just leave floating in their minds and sometimes state something as a fact when they really are questioning it in order to get a response.
Often makes for great unintentional comedic moments and arguments, and she probably recognizes that, so no harm done.
I used to do this regularly until my early 20s but I've since gotten more self conscious and careful in how I express myself
>>
>>63098529
>>63099915
It's gotten quite grim season 2 though, seeing that they're doing Sex and the City 2
>>
>>63096998
>Never Not funny

They went to shit when Pat Francis left for Rock Solid.
>>
>>63097838
no retardo, since i started listening to the podcast a couple years ago. its in the top 3 all time requested eps
>>
>>63100576
I am baffled. Even if while you're watching a movie you think a ridiculous thought I think it's understandable to whisper it to the person sitting next to you for a laugh, but I think it's a very different thing to verbally highlight it and earnestly try and make an argument for what is obviously a flight of fancy.

What makes it all the more confusing is the idea that she's a trained improvizer and has written films herself. The assumption there is that she knows how movies work and understands sarcasm. How anyone with that as a background can consistently come up with the most assbackwards theories about movie plots and seemingly mean them is beyond me.
