The deal here is that Supergirl's ratings are dropping while Flash is rising. Supergirl is in danger of being cancelled after just 13 episodes, so the producers are saying if they get a back-nine, then Flash will visit Supergirl to boost her ratings.
All this means is that I will watch that one episode of supergirl.
