Seinfeld wore a lot of hideous clothes, but that one is pretty high up on the list. I always assumed it was a subtle tweak on the actual show's wardrobe to make it slightly more ridiculous.
After Larry left, there were still plenty of great moments, but you could tell they were written by someone else.

I don't understand why this show was so popular, it's not at all funny. All the gags are like proto memes, especially anything involving Kramer. I feel like /tv/ would call this pleb garbage if it were around back then, but now that it's finished and no longer popular with the masses it's safe for /tv/ contrarians to like.
George is the only remotely likeable and entertaining character.

I'm older than 95% of people on 4chan, I was already an adult when Seinfeld was airing and I thought it was shit back then, too. It's the plebbest show of its time.
