Give me a scene with more suspense than this
>>63037312
there is none, it's a perfect example
This whole scene is GOAT
>Her face when she realises Bill is the killer and he's standing right in front of her unarmed
Jodie Foster is GOAT
>literally know exactly what's about to happen
>suspense

ONE'S EMPTY ONE'S NOT QUICK ENOUGH

Couldn't find the right picture, but the first russian roulette scene in this movie is pretty goddamn intense.
Honestly the graveyard broke my suspension of disbelief, there were no grave yards that elaborate in the 1800's.

This scene almost gave me a panic attack in theaters. Spaghettification would be one of the worst ways to go.

I've never seen Interstellar, but that looked dumb as fuck
It looked like they were trying to copy 2001 Space Odyssey but failed immensely.
And how the hell was that even a black hole?

No senpai, For a Few Dollars more has a more suspenseful finale

This movie sustains maximum tension and suspense for something like 90 minutes, it's crazy.

I love For A Few Dollars More, but I have to disagree. The thing about The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is that none of the three know when and who will shoot first, while I thought it was very clear that Mortimer would easily win this standoff, (I can't remember a western with a better shot than Mortimer) so for me it was very predictable, while The Good The Bad and The Ugly was a mystery.

Llewelyn and Anton at the second motel in NCfoM, "desu senpai". And I've seen OP's pic related in a theater.
All memes aside, I would also add the diner/back alley sequence in Mulholland Drive.
I understand that suspense is very different from jump scares, "fear", etc, although these are all cousins. A certain /dread/ is very helpful to any suspenseful build, however. I did not experience any /dread/ when watching OP's selection for the first time - okay, it's about that time, someone's about to die, this thing is gonna resolve itself soon.
What I did experience is better described as /grandeur/. Both Tuco running through the cemetery, no focus on anything else, this delirium plus the showdown was when I really sensed that I was watching something great that many others already knew about. I don't /remember/ suspense. I remember grandeur.

This is a good scene but it isn't suspenseful. You know going into it that the good guy will be quicker than the bad guy and the comic relief guy will come out alive too, because Spaghetti Westerns always end that way. The good guy being so vastly and consistently overpowered that his safety is never in doubt is one of the defining features of the genre
>>63040434
But they're both bad guys, and Tuco is the good guy.
