"Despite set photos popping up online a few weeks ago, Marvel Studios has now announced that production has officially begun on the upcoming Doctor Strange and confirmed the film’s cast. Production on the film is currently set up in London with additional plans to shoot in New York and Hong Kong.
Benedict Cumberbatch stars as the title hero in the film and is joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Rachel McAdams, and Michael Stuhlbarg, with Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One. Other cast members previously reported to be in the film include Scott Adkins and Amy Landecker.
Scheduled to hit theaters November 4, 2016, Doctor Strange is scripted by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus, Passengers) and directed by Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Deliver Us From Evil). Doctor Strange follows the story of neurosurgeon Doctor Stephen Strange who, after a horrific car accident, discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions."

I felt pretty much the same way. They should have chosen someone else. Bumblesnatch just feels like a casting choice made entirely because he has a fanbase and Marvel wanted him in something.
I'm also kind of disappointed that Doc Hammer and Chris McCullogh aren't involved at all. They've talked about wanting to do a Doctor Strange movie for years, and they're great writers. Why wouldn't Marvel just hire talented people who want the job?

Oh quit your inane whining. All of these characters were created in a time where Marvel wasn't the most diverse of companies. If these movies casted their roles exactly as they were thought of they would be "White People: The Movie" and that's unfair for actors that not only fill a quota and bring other audiences to theaters, but are pretty good at their craft.
Both Chiwetel and Tilda are great performers. I didn't see the outrage when Tilda played Gabriel in Constantine; more often than not all i see is praise for her portrayal.

If her career wasn't weird (and by weird I mean shitty) as fuck and she didn't have all those drug abuse problems, that might explain some of the movies she finds herself in, Bai Ling would have been a great choice. Broken english, weird looking but appealing, impossible to judge age, has martial arts experience plus you still get to keep the ancient one female.
