The variety talk show format is dying. Has been for a while now. People only watch random clips on youtube and only if its some viral video or the one celebrity they care about. Conan is still the best and honestly I'd rather he'd quit his show and do a travel show instead. Watch Conan in Cuba and most recently in Armenia. He's always the best when he goes on his remotes.

Wilmore does a show catering to, yes, the minority issues, but also just about anything that supports the liberal paradigm. New wave feminism shit, LGBT shit, basically any pro-lib hot button social issue will be there.
And the panel is just as slanted. It is people that are already for the left oriented paradigm of the issue, and nothing is discussed or produced during the panel portion. Granted, the show only has the 20-something minutes to work with, but that really only reinforces that doing a panel-portion is a poor decision for that limited time.
And it's not the liberal oriented thing that I have an issue with. The Daily Show had a general left lean, but it lambasted liberals when they fucked up too. Wilmore is an echo chamber for the feel-good no dissenting opinion mentality that's happening in colleges right now. It's not a comedy show, it's a moral indignation safe space.
