Freddy Got Fingered IS a masterpiece. Its a perfect satire of Hollywood's light comedy tropes - the quest for paternal approval, the realisation of self-worth, the adult man with a teenager's problems, etc.It's kind of like the "Scary Movie" except it pastiches comedy cliches instead of horror cliches.Except in "Scary Movie" the horror cliches are parodied by turning them into jokes, whereas in FGF it is jokes themselves that are being parodied, which is achieved by exaggerating them to an absurd degree.
