Fargo S2 > True Detective S2

AWARDS WERE LOST
>>62955142
They're 2 completely different types of shows, comparing them is stupid and seems to be the work of a faggot trying to pit two different fanbases against each other for no fucking reason.
These is nothing to discuss.
Your statement is 100% accurate
>>62955142
Fargo s2 > True Detective s1 > Fargo s1 > True Detective s2
How I see it, I really like them all though.
>>62955142
Either season of Fargo > Either Season of True Detective
>>62955142
That statement is objectively correct
There is literally nothing to discuss
>>62955159
One is objectively better than the other though, even if they're different.
>>62955179
This family
>>62955196
Fuck you.
The Leftovers Season 2 > Both
>>62955221
>>62955239
hey reddit!
True Detective S2 was garbage and everyone knows it.
This would be a better discussion Fargo S2 > Fargo S1
>>62955142
That statement is so self-evident there's nothing to discuss.
Onto Fargo; it doesn't surprise me that the people on this board cream themselves over Malvo and Hanzee. What DOES surprise me is that you can't see the best character out of both seasons
>>62955366
>it's a self-actualization episode
>>62955366
Well she IS responsible for this whole mess.
>>62955142
I'm a fan of both and both season of Fargo are superior to both seasons of True Detective and if you disagree that's your opinion
>>62955411
the kansas city thing would have happened anyway
>>62955310
Why, that is also objectively true.
>>62955447
Dodd would not have had some 'KC butcher' to scapegoat as an act of war, Rye might even have been still alive but just in jail
>>62955410
>that look of absolute glee when cattle prodding Dodd
She truly became the best 'she' she could be.
Fargo season 2 isn't even over yet, how can you all claim it's the best?!
>>62955142
When this started, I thought Floyd would've been much harder and more ruthless but aside from Lou and Betsy (;_;) she's the only sympathetic character.
If Dodd wasn't enough of a fucking mong to reject her diplomacy and start killing people in a time of negotiation then the family would've been fine, Rye aside.
>>62955366
That's not Bear. But I guess he isn't a le epin hitman or a waifu so plebs don't like him.
Literally anything is better than True Detective season 2.
>>62955142
Oh yah?
>>62955692
>his son calling him before the hit telling him he'll go back to school and everything
Like a bucket of cold water got dumped on him, really nice scene.
>>62955692
Bear is great for how understated he is but I feel like Peggy's the most complex character here. On the one hand I feel confident in calling her a delusional escapist but I have no idea just how deep it runs or exactly what screws are missing
Neither are lepic hitmen or waifus though, so prepare for hardly any posts on either and 200 per thread on Hanzee, Dodd and Malvo
>>62955841
Peggy frustrates me in the way she approaches things, very much a sneaky passive aggressive sort, there's some love for Ed there but at the same time she loves herself more and just refuses to be happy with what she has.
That stuff with the magazines, the secret birth control, that goddamn conversation about the money where she pretty much just throws her hands up and goes "Whoopsie Doodle!".
Any other man would probably be cracking her skull at this point.
>>62955967
The sheer audacity of that conversation with Ed where she tries to wriggle out of blame for spending his shop money on the seminar provoked a stronger reaction from me than most of the violence.
I've never seen a character quite like her. Even in her talk with Hank when she said running Rye down was like a 'decision made in a dream'; it's like Peggy knew there was something wrong about it but at the same time she sure as shit didn't feel a bit of remorse
That's much more fascinating to me than someone like Hanzee who is both terrifyingly competent and a non-entity
I dunno, I feel like Fargo has no more twists or surprises in store. They blew their load too early in the last episode. Know what I mean?
>>62956281
No.
This season of Fargo is some of the best drama of 2015. It doesn't have any competition for miniseries so it's a lock for some major Emmy's. But I miss Lester and Satan Malvo. This season has too many things happening at once and sometimes I have to pause the DVR and go 'what side is that guy on again'?
>>62956422
You might be retarded this show has like 5 characters
>>62955142
>>62955142
We can have this discussion when it ends, they are setting it up big, but the pay off is what counts
>>62956422
>I have to pause the DVR and go 'what side is that guy on again'?
Jesus fucking christ, I hope this is a bit.
>>62956422
If you were talking about Game of Thrones then I'd see you point but for Fargo? I think you just might be stupid.
>>62956422
>Gerhardts, Kansas City, Police, Peggy/Ed
>'Who is on which side'
Come on
>>62956604
>baiting this hard
I can't remember any character's name though. It's always "mother Gehardt" "young cop" "old cop" for me.
>>62957410
Same. I'm horrible with names in general.
>>62957410
Print out the IMDB page for the season 2 characters. You can then refer to them as you watch.
>>62955157

Fargo has a larger sense of originality while true detective s2 was just copying the one eyed jacks aspect of twin peaks
