Already diversity doesn't make a lot of sense with all the blacks we have. Target markets for movie releases don't include many blacks, hell the U.S. has more than probably any other truly first world nation and only 13 percent of our population is black.
Hispanic and black make SOME sense then to an extent but blacks don't to the degree they're pushed. Whites are quite clearly the obvious largest target demographic and for some reason we have no problem being slung out of our own movies and market. Kek culture.

I don't even care that there's more blacks on TV. It's the fact these people get so much praise for including blacks as champions of diversity when it's bullshit. I'd bet my life JJ and Disney never once seriously thought of casting a Native American or an Asian as the lead for TFA. They knew damn well a black actor would garner the most reactions both positive and negative.
So they're not really trying to be diverse so as much as follow the "diversity" template that's been laid out.
