I employ strategy and tactics when going to the cinema alone.
Firstly, I don't go on the opening weekend when it's full.
On the second or third weekend I check the cinema's seating plan a couple of hours before I'm due to go. If it's about 1/3 full that's ideal. Plenty of space to sit away from others but plenty of people for cover.
I buy my ticket online and print it out at the cinema. When I have to present it I am continually checking my phone like I'm waiting for a text from my imaginary friends. Doubtless the ticket collector is not fooled by this.
On entering the theatre itself I wait until a bunch of people are going in and tag on close behind them as if I'm with them then dodge off to a row by myself.
Flawless victory.

It's healthy to go outside and do things even if you don't have friends. As long as you don't drink, cause then it just gets depressing and bad. I have gone to movies and restaurants alone before. It can improve your mood and help you integrate back into society.
