Why did Peter Jackson cut Gothmog's death?
He was the field commander of that army and one of the major villains in RoTK.

>major villains
Yeah, no.
>>62893908
He wanted a 6th fade-to-black fake ending
Why was Gothmog a crippled fucking orc in the movies? It isn't an orc name and there's no way the Witch-king would put this troglodyte in charge.
>>62893908
why was LOTR so God-tier faŠ¼
>>62893969
He led the orc army that killed almost everyone in Osgiliath, then led the siege of Minas Tirith himself.
>>62894056
Yeah so? Doesn't mean he is a major villain, it just means within the story he had some leadership.
Major villains include Morgoth, Sauron and Saruman. Not some shitty orc commander, which there would have been scores of.
>>62893908
Because it was so fucking bad
>>62894765
was morgoth mentioned even once in the movies?
maybe in the moria scenes
>>62893983
Why was his warg also a cripple? Because it rhymes?
>>62893908
because it was pretty corny family
>>62893908
Because Hackson knew before that showing the death of the enemy commander does not actually end the battle
>>62894765
Who the fuck is Morgoth?
>>62894807
Legolas says "A Balrog of Morgoth" when they get to Lothlorien.
>>62894836
Sauron's master, basically Satan / The Devil in Tolkien mythology.
>>62894822
no more corny than "I AM NO MAN!!!! GRRRRRRRL POWER"
>>62893908
Gothmog?
Why did they have to use that name for an orc, couldn't Jackson come up with something else?
>>62895060
You don't get to bring down the trolls.
>>62894836
Get out.
>>62895060
uhhh you dont get to bring ringwraiths
>>62893908
They should've had the real gothmog in the movie instead of this weird orc thing
>>62895481
...He's named Gothmog in the book. He's mentioned once as a commander of some sort.

Except he died a long time ago, killed by an Elf Lord, Ecthelion.

He was the most powerful Ainur created by Eru. He was good at first then became an edgy faggot and basically fucked everyones shit up.
Did it bother anyone else the the Fellowship and Two Towers pretty much all of the extended scenes added a lot to the moviesespecially Boromir and Faramir, who become whole new characters in the extended versions, but some of the extended scenes in RoTK subtracted from it?
>Legolas and Gimli drinking game.
>Ghosts ending on "We fight" instead of "What say you?"
>The entire sequence between Gandalf and the Witch King.
>Arguably this sequence, although I didn't find it too bad.
I mean a lot of them were really great (Mouth of Sauron, fleshing out Faramir/Denethor more, more time with all of the Hobbits), but it's kind of striking when Fellowship and Two Towers didn't have quite the same problems. In fact, RoTK is really the most mixed bag of them all, with some of the highest highs and lowest lows in the whole trilogy.
