Something for the prequel haters: All 3 prequels were great movies. And in some ways I love the prequels more than the original because it gives us the reason why anakin turned into darth vader and why seduced into the dark side. It gave us the clone wars. The clone wars men a ton of adventures and many story arcs which were too crucial to the entire star wars universe. I'd want to say a huge thanks to george lucas because he did such a great job on the prequels and on the original films of course. I hope the force awakens to be as good as the the originals and prequels were.

Ahsoka will have a last meeting with Vador, the reveal he's actually Anakin will break her. She will either get killed or stop being a rebel/jedi?
Kanan will die. First he will face all his contradictions, his own anger, his failure as a mentor and will finally prove he's a great guy... and will die soon after.
Ezra will become closer to be a real jedi but will realise he doesn't want to become one. He's not after power or changing the world, he will prefer to save his friends and get out of the rebellion business until a New Hope appears but thanks to him, rebellion will still be around to Leia to pick up

Sheev, Maul and Boba are in the positions of Bartholomew, James and Andrew, although Maul isn't facing the proper direction.
Chewbacca appears to be the closest in position to St. Peter. Han is strangely in the position of Judas, and Leia is John the Apostle.
Vader appears to be Thomas, with his fist raised in incredulity instead of the finger. Threepio and Artoo as James the Greater and Phillip.
Finally we have Dindu and Obi-Wan as Matthew and Jude facing towards Yoda for answers, who represents Simon the Zealot.
Overall 5/10. Little thought went into symbolism and character placement tbqh.

Darth Vador is extremely strong. He just have rotten luck and face atrocious strong opponents.
As Anakin, his first fight was against Dooku, the leader of half the galaxy, Sheev's apprentice and a huge powerhouse. Yet he defeated him eventually. At this point, only Yoda and Sheev really overpower him, maybe Windu. Obiwan finally defeats him but you a very recent break down into the dark side MIGHT have affected his combat style.
As tin can, he's given the worst jobs: killing every Jedis who survived. And he's doing great, taking several jedis at the same time and surviving the several assassination attempts.
And then who does he have to fight ? HIS FRIGGING SON ! Of course he can't be at 100% against Luke and it's pretty clear he's ok to lose and be replaced at some point.

He's not in hiding anymore at his point. Luke is now old enough and Obiwan already decided it was time to act. He choosed to use his lightsaber mostly to show Luke how powerful it could be, so Luke takes him more seriously (and not just a senile grand-pa).
Obiwan's plan was probably to find the rebellion and used his past connections to put Luke as the next leader, hiding the fact he's a jedi wasn't important anymore.
