You shouldn't. I tried rewatching season 1 for the nostalgia and it was painful to do it. It feels so mediocre and forced that I regret a lot rewatching it.

Gen 1 was fun.
Gen 2 was good.
Gen 3 wasn't Skins.
The final season was way too serious. Only Cook's episodes were watchable.

Anyone else watched US version? It actually wasn't bad, despite a ton of hate upon release. It was like AU-type show, pilot was exactly the same, but storylines changed as season progressed, best characters were actually the ones who were underutilized in UK revision - gender-swapped Maxxie(she was a main character too), us version of Dev Patel and Jal. And Cassie and especially Sid sucked ass, it was like a bizzaro version of the show
S1/2 are really fun to revisit, but going beyond that typically isn't too great for me because Gen 2 is such a downgrade. It can be worth it if you're an Effyfag, though.

At the end of gen 1 they all got scattered to the winds at the end of summer which was sad and made sense as a conclusion.
Gen 2 ends in murder and unresolved character arcs with everyone still in the same town, then we just never hear about any of the characters again, for no reason.

Gen2's first season was really good, but the second was a little too dark.
Gen3's first season was meh, and the second season was shit.
Skins Redux was okay. Pure was okay, Fire was a bit meh, but Rise was awesome and a great end to the overall show.

First gens is not for edgy teens too, it's much more outsider-oriented despite the fact that kids in it are "cool". Outside of partying they all had miserable fucking lives. It's only later in the run when show embraced coolness and that was the moment it turned to shit
