It's not Stannis burning his daughter that's the issue, the problem is Stannis' entire army being completely wrecked by 20 good men which then forces him into a situation where he has to burn his daughter, but despite doing so then gets wrecked again, this time by 20000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 good men, and then gets wrecked AGAIN by stronk independent wymyn Brienne who ''avenges'' the ''rightful'' king.

Even if he does, it will be a much more emotional and impossible decision than the show portrays it as.
