I saw it in the movies with my brother. A couple of rows in front of us there was this group of highschool girls.
I expected to be just as entertained by the movie as them spazzing out screaming at shit. I missed out of 50% of my entertainment.they were unfazed by the movie. Kids these days...

I don't know about other people who watched this but I didn't see the twist coming. I marathoned all movies since I never saw the first three properly and I thought 4 would stick to the "basics"
I really liked what they did with it, don't get the uncontrollable hate for it

Suddenly I was a kid again and stuck watching Jaws 2 because that's the only Jaws movie they aired on tv once a year while NEVER airing Jaws. There should be some kind of law against this shit.

Same as what went right originally - it was a deconstruction of horror films.
It maintained that awareness of what it was - its genre, its place in a movie series, etc. - and so the characters acted accordingly.

I don't think I saw the twist coming either. In retrospect I should have, but... honestly I'm surprised to hear that people DID hate it. It was a pretty solid Scream movie.

Not when you never get to see Jaws at all because it's never on tv, and you keep hearing about Jaws being on tv, which turns out to be Jaws 2 yet again, or even a "Jaws marathon" which then turns out to be Jaws 2, 3 and 4.
Come to think of it, I actually saw Jaws for the first time at a friend's house, where I also saw Scream for the first time. Same place I saw my first dirty mag. They had the best parents.
