Agreed, I read the first issue and it wasn't anything special.
Transmet would have been a better choice.

>mind made up.
Too bad about your ADD. You're missing out on a God tier series.
Probably. I'm just watching the first episode for Joseph Gilgun.

When does it get good? Maybe I'll give it another shot.

>You're missing out on a God tier series.
heh

Just keep going. It's been a while since I've read it, but it's totally worth the read.

Good catch.
The Preacher comic series is absolutely god tier, great story, great writing, great art and absolutely no taboo is left untouched.
Therein lies the problem developing it for the screen; there are so many characters that exhibit disgusting, perverted traits, as well as the extreme violence, near constant racism, homophobia and attacks on the church that continue throughout the series.
I've no idea how they'll get most of it past the censors without watering it down significantly.

This guy gets it.
>>62742424
I have no idea why it's on AMC when it's close to constant swearing
>>62742483
HBO rejected it.
Any thoughts on who might play Herr Starr?
I know he'll probably not be in the first season but he's a pretty crucial character to get right. I like the idea of Charles Dance but I worry he's probably a bit old for the role.

Actually AMC is a cable network and doesn't have the same regulations. So they *could* add swearing but they choose not to.
Maybe that'll change. USA Network was the same as AMC bit it has started to allow some mild swearing recently (e.g shit) in it's most popular series.
