The episode was shit. Stop shilling how good it was, it wasn't. It was boring and felt forced at the end how he started doing the fake actors and went over the top (usually it's interesting, but this was contrived). There should be a rule where Nathan For You is limited to 2 businesses per episode, not 1 that takes the entire episode. It gets old fast.
Could Nathan get a bigger audience for things like Smoker's Allowed and The Web if he tried?
He always stays in character by acting like a goof and handing fliers out on the street. It plays into the humor of the show to not have anybody to show up, but it begs the question if Nathan could get a bigger audience if it suited the plot of an episode.
This season, with the exception of the first episode, has been shit.

For all you know, Nathan asked how much the plate cost before he was going to break the first one, found out it was expensive, then picked up the second one and broke it. There's plenty of explanations that don't force you to say the entire show is a hoax.

Nathan picks up a plate to break, it cuts back to him, and he's holding the plate that was underneath the plate he originally picked up.
It's by no means proof it's fake. Nathan was very open in his AMA like two years ago that the show is heavily edited, and some people pick up on what the show is and go along with it for money.
