Carpenter is probably the greatest genre filmmaker ever, and there is a great deal more going on in most of his films that most people (plebs) give him credit for. In terms of actual films, the closest thing he ever made to a bad one was The Ward, which isn't even that bad, just toothless. If you include his Masters of Horror episodes, though, Pro-Life is garbage.
