First of all a new hope and return of the jedi are similar films to begin with, so how do you know when the prequels are rhyming with ROTJ or ANH? The middle films are going to rhyme whether its ring composition or just A B C A B C, so it's useless as a measure.
Let's say it can be agreed that TPM is most similar to ROTJ, and AOTC is the most similar to empire, but revenge of the sith and a new hope have the least in common. It breaks the ring theory. Star wars is more like A B C D B A.
And what's rhyming here? Sometimes the story events are similar but the imagery is very different, sometimes the imagery is similar but the story is very different.
