Hello /tv/ I am new to this board and I have a question: Why are there so many gays in the media?

Yet, in movies, television shows, commercials, etc, there is a high prevalence of homosexuals.
Why is this? Why is such a small minority so largely represented in the media?

Probably not. The only people who really seem to care are homosexuals and possibly those against homosexuality. It's really nothing more than having a token black. Next will be the transexuals.
It's all fun and games to make it everyone's business what's happening in your bedroom until being a "protected class" means having to publicly register your sexual orientation on official paperwork.
