Can somebody recommend the best Beatles documentaries?
>>
this was already a joke on Portlandia
>>
Living in the Material World is really good and Let It Be is pretty interesting if a bit boring.
>>
The documentary about their secretary was really comfy.
>>
>Boring rocker kiddies go to Hamburg and play 8+ hours a day live for months because they were like 18 and didn't know any better
>git gud at instruments
>go back to liverpool
>fire the good looking guy
>get a recording contract
>get a really good manager that invents a media circus for your band
>grow tired of their fanbase (hysterical little girls) after a few years
>lock up on studios trying to live up to the name the media had given them
>release somewhat experimental stuff
>disband because of acrimony and tensions
>one of them gets shot
There, those guys don't deserve a documentary.
But there's a good one about Sgt. Pepper's from the BBC tho

dropped

Living in the Material World is my personal favorite, though it focuses mainly on George. Also, the McCartney biography by Miles is 10/10 to read.

>implying Pete Best was the good looking guy
The actual good-looking one died.

Living in the Material World, definitely. Produced by George Martin is an interesting one, too. Anthology series.

The Beatles are overrated tbh

"the beatles are overrated" is the blandest, most unoriginal opinion anyone could have on them.
Of course they are.

I really enjoyed Nowhere Boy. More of a biopic than a documentary tho but whatever
